Presidents have a broad range of duties, they set the direction, aims and objectives of the Society after consultation with the Committee, they are responsible for making sure the society runs efficiently. They act as the representative to all external and internal agencies – this includes setting the standard of behaviour of the society. Responsibilities include identifying issues and items within the committee that need addressing/actioning, and either delegating these tasks to the appropriate committee member or do it themselves. They must ensure the committee work together as a team and that the experience their members are getting is positive and worth their money.
Inclusion Officer:

Inclusions officers work towards ensuring activities, session, events, socials and anything a society delivers are accessible to everyone and are inclusive. You may think about the range of events, food, drinks, locations etc. They additionally monitor the welfare of society committee and all members, setting up a contact plans to ensure members are checked up regularly throughout the semester by the committee members, and signposting to relevant support services where necessary. They need to be approachable and have good listening skills.
Treasurer:

Treasurers are responsible for the management of funds within the societies' bank account while ensuring prompt payment and clarification of all society-agreed expenditure towards events. It’s good practice for a treasurer to manage a spreadsheet highlighting society income and expenditure so all executive members can edit/track their financial positioning. We expect the treasurer to come up with fundraising and sponsorship opportunities to ensure the society is growing its bank balance this could include selling merchandise for a profit.
